COURSE OVERVIEW

Our Classic + Volume combined training provides students with an introduction to the fundamentals of lashing while helping them perfect their skills efficiently. The course is designed for aspiring lash artists with no experience, and also, for those lash artists already certified who would like to learn new techniques and up-to-date information, or receive a certificate of a higher standard.

The C + V training focuses on products + product theory, techniques + various methods, administrative docs, health and safety, as well as legal obligations for lash artists. Our training programs have a substantial amount of information and are designed to help students master the art of lashing in a short period of time.

The theory portion of the course is directed through our online program which also includes interactive worksheets, activities and exam review. If you are taking the course you will need to complete the online theory components prior to attending in-studio or virtual practical. Students who have the opportunity to attend the in-studio component should take advantage of it. If you are completing the course virtually our global educator is w ell-trained and has obtained the necessary skills to adapt and work with a variety of students.

Learning how to apply classic lashes is the first step to becoming a talented lash artist; and also ensuring you learn the right way - from the beginning - will help you stand out from your competition! The course includes detailed steps and directions for crystallization of volume fans and how to use the wrapping technique during the application process. Learning how to create volume fans by hand will save you money and help ensure your clients receive quality service and the best retention!

COURSE OPTIONS

OPTIONS 1: Online Theory + In Studio Practical + C+V Starter Kit

Students will be expected to successfully complete all prep work prior to attending the practical.

Students must receive a minimum of 80% in the written and practical exams. Those students who do not meet the requirements will be given a detailed plan for at home practice before attending another practical. When the student completes the second prep and feels confident they can re-book the second practical. If the student does not pass the second practical the student has the option to take on an apprenticeship at HofG studios. The apprenticeship program is recommended for anyone who needs more hands on experience, more clarification, or may take a longer time to learn. We also recommend the apprenticeship program for students with learning disabilities. We are more than accommodating and truly wish to help you shine!

Students will receive two certificates:

Fundamentals of Lashing in Classic Training
Introduction to Volume in Professional Volume Training

OPTIONS 2: Online Theory + Virtual Practical + C+V Starter Kit

Students will be given access to online theory, activities and worksheets, and the kit will be mailed to them. Students are expected to take notes throughout the online training to later discuss during the practical. Students must successfully complete all prerequisites prior to the practical. Prerequisites must be emailed to training@houseofglam.ca for grading. Once the student has been advised they met the requirements for virtual practical the student can then book in a 3 hour training session with our Global Educator. The student must complete the online written exam and receive 80% or higher to pass.

The virtual practical will consist of theory review and a live model. The student will be expected to apply classic and volume lashes to the natural lash safely. The coach will work with the student on 1:1 basis to examine their methods and provide feedback. the student will also be expected to achieve a 80% or higher in the written exam.

Those students who do not meet the requirements will have the option to write the exam for a second time with no extra charge. If the student does not pass the second exam further training is available. Our trainers charge $100/hr for extra coaching sessions. The coaching sessions can be completed virtually, over the phone or in-studio.

* It is up to the student to put the time and effort into the prep work. If you are not prepared for the practical then you should not attend the practical. We work with students who want to learn and do well. The more effort you put in to your prep work the easier the practical will be for you!
