HOW TO IMPROVE LASH RETENTION?
Without proper client intake and assessment lash artists won't be able to determine the right lash service for you or the necessary products to use. Honest disclosure of information will ensure you are off to the right start.
Primer plays a vital role. If your client has oily skin you may need to prime continuously throughout your set. Ever try a wooden stick for primer support?
Don’t favour one eye, or one area of one eye based on your dominant hand.
Ensure your workplace is set up for your convenience.
If your clients eyes are moving and you are finding it difficult let them know. Be innovative and use things like tape to help keep them down. Even offering a weighted or heated blanket for your clients comfort can help.
Everything about your lash adhesive. The quality of the products based on manufacturing operations and raw ingredients used. Storage. Shelf-life. Adhesive care. Adhesive is so technical.
Lash material? Lashes made from animal fibres are a major allergen and can cause clients retention to be poor. Stay away from materials such as mink.
Aftercare is a MUST.
Make sure you, as the lash artist, have a lash cleanser suitable for your clients. If you don’t express the importance of keeping your lashes clean, they won’t know about it.
